The Savastat LC unit may be applied to any low temperature hot water heating boiler burning gas, oil or LPG. It is a load compensation control for retrofit application to reduce energy consumption through existing boilers that are operating under fixed set point control.
The Savastat LC unit measures rate of temperature loss of the return water at the boiler to assess system load and when opportunities arise compensates for reduced loads by dropping the boiler operating temperature by a few degrees. Reductions of only 1°C - 5°C will achieve significant savings in fuel consumption.
The Savastat LC unit does not interfere with any other control action of the building management system or other stand alone controls. At no time will the building space or hot water service be changed.

The Savastat HW modular programmable controller is an electronic water heater control designed to optimise the fuel efficient operation of gas and electric water heaters.
Many direct fired water heaters are connected to be ON 24 hours every day rather than programmed for duty periods. This is usually due to a fear of ever being short of hot water and / or the belief that they provide a well insulated supply of hot water under regular demand. The truth is, they are regularly firing only to maintain the set point temperature and that there are long periods of little or no demand in each day.
The Savastat HW provides a time clock facility with a reactive module which will bring the system back into service should the integrated sensor detect a drop in stored temperature or immediate need.
Savastat HW unique modular concept allows control of up to 4 boilers from 1 CPU providing a cost effective solution for multi boiler installations.
The service parameters are user-configurable but the Savastat HW unit is supplied with factory default settings which will suit most situations.
All operational parameters are protected by a password and can be controlled and changed via the soft touch buttons. The LCD readout confirms all modes and settings and displays the status.
The reduction of fuel used often exceeds 20% providing a rapid return on your investment.
